About OVERLOAD

OVERLOAD is one of the most important Airsoft and Milsim events in Romania, with its first edition taking place in 2011.

The name “OVERLOAD” reflects the nature of the event itself: a challenging, demanding, and immersive experience that pushes participants beyond the comfort zone of a typical weekend game.

The event takes place at the former military base in Mârșa, Sibiu County, one of the most complex and impressive airsoft venues in Romania.

With a duration of approximately 40 hours, OVERLOAD is a true Milsim event that requires preparation, discipline, endurance, and the ability to manage your physical and mental resources effectively. This is not a casual Sunday skirmish.

 

Camping and Logistics

Camping is organized in designated woodland areas, with each faction having its own dedicated campsite. Participants are responsible for bringing their own camping equipment and supplies.

The camping areas provide:

  • Portable toilets;
  • Waste disposal containers;
  • Utility water containers.

As the campsites are located in the forest, there is no electrical power available.

Campsite 1

  • Located approximately 1.1 km from the Check-In and parking area.
  • Participants may drive close (aprox 150m) to the campsite to unload their equipment.
  • Vehicles must be returned to the designated parking area immediately after unloading.

Campsite 2

  • Located approximately 3.5 km from the Check-In and parking area.
  • Vehicle access is strictly prohibited.
  • Transportation of players and equipment is provided by tractor and trailer.

 

The Playing Area

The entire venue covers approximately 500 hectares, while the active game area typically ranges between 200 and 300 hectares, depending on the annual scenario and the number of participants.

Distances between objectives generally vary from 400 to 1,700 meters. While these distances may appear significant, they are standard for an authentic Milsim experience.

 

Check-In

The Check-In process takes place outside the game area and follows a strict schedule announced before registration opens.

Participants are strongly encouraged to plan their travel accordingly and arrive within the designated time slots to ensure a smooth registration process.

 

Is OVERLOAD Right for You?

You do not need to be an action movie hero to participate in OVERLOAD. However, you should understand and embrace the nature of a true Milsim event.

Participants are expected to:

  • Respect fellow players, opponents, referees, and organizers;
  • Follow the rules and event procedures at all times;
  • Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and fair play;
  • Respect the chain of command and follow orders from their commanders;
  • Be physically and mentally prepared for a demanding event;
  • Be capable of operating in low temperatures;
  • Be prepared for prolonged rain, wet conditions, and mud;
  • Be comfortable covering long distances on foot;
  • Prioritize the mission and the game experience above personal comfort.

OVERLOAD is designed for players seeking an authentic Milsim experience built around teamwork, discipline, commitment, and immersion.

If your ideal event revolves around campfires, barbecue, comfort, easy access to amenities, and only occasional participation in the action, OVERLOAD may not be the right event for you.

However, if you are looking for realistic challenges, large-scale operations, demanding missions, and an experience that truly tests your skills, endurance, and teamwork, then OVERLOAD is where you belong.
